Don’t expect a traditional restaurant—this is a food cart built out of a shipping trailer, and that’s exactly what makes it special.
At the heart of it all is Lucio Saabedra, a seasoned taco master with over 32 years of experience, cooking everywhere from Mexico City to Kansas. That experience shows in every bite. After more than five years in business, Taco’s El Patron has clearly earned its reputation—we had the chance to sit with Lucio, and within 30 minutes, the place was absolutely packed.
Lucio runs a tight operation alongside Michelle, who ensures every guest feels welcomed and taken care of. The vibe is casual, friendly, and undeniably family-oriented, which keeps regulars excited to come back and try what’s new.
The Food
Simply put—everything is a highlight.
- The carne asada is grilled right in front of you, delivering bold flavor and perfect char.
- The al pastor is a standout—pork sliced from a horizontal spit, infused with pineapple for that perfect sweet-and-savory balance. This is cooked very early in the morning and fresh by the time they open at 5PM
- The chicken tacos (weekends only) are just another reason to plan your visit accordingly.
- The Tortas are to die for. Make sure you have two people to eat this monstrous sandwich as it is huge and full of flavor.
You can tell this is food made with pride, tradition, and consistency.
This is a BYOB-friendly spot, so feel free to bring your own adult beverages. They keep it simple with fruit drinks, water, and Coca-Cola—but don’t skip the pineapple drink, which is absolutely unforgettable.
