This was just a fluke we found this place. We frequent Jessy’s Fishmarket at least once a week. Next door was La Heladeria. During the cleaning of our shrimp I popped over. It was a great experience as they will give you many tastings to try out of this delicious gelato. Due to needing to run back and pay at Jessy’s, I told them we would be back.
This gelato is handmade daily. When we went in, it was full of locals. There are about 20 flavors and as I said, try them all. The prices are very low for the two large scoops you get. My favorite was the Banana Split and Nuez Pecan. There were so many flavor combinations that it requires you to stop by every time your driving to the Melecon.
They hand make all of their cones which were delicious. They also will pack a 1/2 liter container. We ended up going home with 4 of them. Definitely support local and try La Heladeria Gelato shop for your sweet tooth.
