Perched atop Whale Hill overlooking the Malecón and the Sea of Cortez, Pane e Vino delivers a memorable Italian‑Mediterranean dining experience with spectacular sunset views and a relaxed yet refined ambiance. This is the highest restaurant in Rocky Point and a short trip up the hill and an amazing view. Getting there is easy. Just take the left at Jessy’s Fish Market and drive up until you hit the dead end. There is a parking attendant that will help you park. Please tip him a few dollars.

The restaurant is split across two levels: downstairs pizzeria offers a more casual, family-friendly vibe; upstairs is intimate fine‑dining with panoramic views—perfect for couples, celebrations or just relaxed sunset dinners for a group.

Outdoor and indoor seating provide flexibility, but the rooftop/upstairs section is widely praised for its location and romantic mood. Recurring praise for attentive, warm, and knowledgeable staff—servers like Damián, Víctor, Mike, and Eduardo often get individual shout‑outs. Chef Luca frequently greets patrons personally, ensuring satisfaction and that returning diners feel welcomed. One Reddit user summarized it fittingly: “We love Pane e Vino. We go there at least once every time we are in RP… The food is great… The place is beautifully decorated… We love it.”

The pizza, served on the ground floor is often called the best in town—fermented dough, crisp yet soft crust, generous toppings from fresh seafood to classic Margherita is baked in a wood-fired oven. We went late in the evening and the pizza was not like previous visits. The crust was not crispy, but the toppings were the best. The Italian classics that are served upstairs in the high end restaurant with dishes like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, pesto, seafood pasta, and shrimp bisque garner love. They also serve steak which was cooked to perfection.

The Seafood Tower (The Torre de Mariscos) is stacked high with oysters, scallops, octopus, and clams, and in my opinion is a standout shareable plate. For desserts I thought that the Chocolate Lava Cake was amazing. There is also tiramisu which was good but not great. Probably one of the only restaurants in Rocky Point that serve it.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Rocky Point, giving you a fine dining option and a comfortable pizzeria option. Reservations for upstairs are highly encouraged. Get there in time for the sunset over the Sea of Cortez and the Malecón.

We only ate upstairs. The lasagna was amazing. We also had the Pollo Marsala. Friends ordered the Tagliatte Bolognese and the Camberi Jack Daniels. All was an amazing meal. Pane is true Italian food and a service that is great
